Samson Vincent as Founder of Hearts of Hope:
I was saved when I was in high school and went to church with the idea to have fun but God had a different plan for my life, a plan of salvation. Since I became a Christian I have had a strong commitment to do God’s will and be used for His purpose. God has performed many miracles in my life and because of my testimonies many have become saved, including my parents and my grandfather was saved one year before he died.
I worked as a volunteer in Gonaives, Haiti with the Eben-Ezer Mission for seven years before moving to Saint-Marc to go to a discipleship training school with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and work as a volunteer for more than three years. It was here that I met my future wife, Dina Knepper. We were married and have three children, Samuel, Joshua and Hannah. Together, we moved back to Gonaives and began working with a children’s home (Centre de Formation et de Nutrition des enfants CFNE).

My name is Rocheny "Vincent" J.Baptiste. I was born in Haiti, in a village where almost every body was either serving the devil or living for themselves. And in a glorious night, 20 years ago, the sword of gospel pierced my heart and I gave my life to Christ. Since then, the Lord has been working in me and through me to spread his message of compassion through various ways. He has used me to be in forefront of intercessory ministry and evangelism and into giving to various ministries helping, feeding the children, and the needy.
I know that living this life is worthy only if it is for the purpose of doing the will of God. I've known my life would be devoted into advancing the kingdom of God in all the ways He would lead me. And, having part in the lives of the children of Haiti of today is a magnificent place to be.

It was January 2003 when I first met Samson Vincent. A brother and I were touring Haiti for the first time in search of an orphanage. We wanted to find an established home that we could help support. Driving through Haiti without a guide did not prove to be one of the wisest things I’ve ever done. I could write a book about the trip, however it will suffice to say that I was robbed, by nine armed men, of all of my possessions. The car, my clothes, and ID were returned but I had no money and no gas in the vehicle.
